In this residence with its magnificent view over Panama City, we designed lighting that shows off the space and also creates an atmosphere of its own, drawn from the vastness of the night sky. Recessed downlights run throughout the interior, distributed subtly across the ceiling to give the effect of a starlit night — the feeling of standing beneath a sky full of stars. The scheme gives soft, efficient light and transforms the experience of the rooms, complementing the spectacular view of the city. In the kitchen we chose LED ceiling panels for clear, efficient light suited to a working space; their even output is ideal for everyday tasks while keeping the modern, elegant character of the house. The result is enveloping light that lifts both the interior and the extraordinary views beyond it.
