This 660 m² office in San Francisco is the result of how workplace design has evolved. Previously such spaces consisted only of dark rooms with a great many people working in thoroughly cramped conditions. The parameters the owner set for the design concept were demanding; the office exceeds four metres in height across almost all of it. The most important aspect built into the scheme was the inclusion of LEED criteria — offices that follow LEED parameters are characterised by reduced energy costs, both in operation and in maintenance.
