The theatre — literally the place from which to watch — is where the performing arts tell their stories, and the Teatro La Plaza project grew from that idea, giving rise to singular fittings that seem to perform for one another under warm light. The governing intention was that every fitting should be circular, with no rigidity of straight lines anywhere, since each one sets a different scene. At the entrance, a composition of suspended MyLight fittings at varying heights and dimensions, with a touch of colour, forms a first scene that gives the audience an initial impression of the space, bathed in the very soft light of fine warm filaments before they enter the main hall. Once inside, MyLight fittings welcome them ahead of the performance under a carefully studied lighting design, closing with a bar and lounge area where the audience can read the different directions of light thrown by projectors on two simple lines, placed to create the right atmosphere for conversation. Performance and lighting scenes come together to give the audience a warm welcome.
