At SAKS one of the principal challenges was lighting more than 7,000 m² of retail floor efficiently and elegantly, while keeping the atmosphere modern and appealing to customers. To do it we used a combination of track fittings, recessed downlights and linear LED, achieving precise, even light that brings out both the merchandise and the architecture. The track gives focused light, ideal for particular display zones, while the downlights and linear LED lay down an even wash across large areas, keeping the store bright and inviting. The scheme improves visibility and reflects the modern, elegant character of the store, giving customers a distinctive and pleasant way to shop.
