A modern, elegant and quiet space in which to study properly during office hours. This beit midrash — the term means study or enquiry, hence beth ha-midrash for a talmudic school — is a room used for study or prayer on weekdays and during working hours. The design was arrived at in a distinctive, modern register: the idea was to create somewhere restful, where a person could feel comfortable opening a book, disconnecting a little from work and connecting more with their own intellect. Unquestionably a comfortable, practical and quiet place to clear one's head for a few minutes during the daily rush. To achieve it we used LED profiles in a warm tone, giving an elegant edge to the timber furniture, together with clean downlights and a decorative note from wall fittings integrated into the wall itself. A small space that gives a great deal.
